COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Police are investigating an accidental shooting that killed a 26-year-old father around midnight.
Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton says Michael McDougal, 26, was pronounced dead at 12:46 a.m.
The incident happened in the 2500 block of Schaul Street.
Newton says McDougal's daughter, 9, accidentally shot McDougal when she placed a gun onto a table.
