Nilamon ng apoy ang isa sa barracks ng Communications, Electronics, and Information Services (CEISSAFP) compound ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) headquarters sa Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City kagabi.
Ayon kay AFP public affairs office chief, Col. Jorry Baclor, nagsimula ang sunog sa personnel barracks bandang alas-5:56 ng hapon sa hindi pa malamang dahilan na agad namang nirespondehan ng mga pamatay sunog sa AFP headquarters.
Nagdatingan din ang iba pang bumbero, ayon kay Baclor kaya mabilis na naapula ang apoy.
Kasalukuyan pang inaalam ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) ang danyos sa sunog.
“Only the personnel barracks sustained damage. Fire out was declared at around 7 p.m. No personnel was hurt in the incident,” ayon pa kay Col. Baclor.
Sa report umabot ng first alarm ang sunog at makalipas ang isang oras na pagliyab ay fire under control na ito bandang alas-6:56 ng gabi. (Vick Aquino)
