ADOC: Two Limestone Co. correctional officers indicted for assault of an inmate

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - Two officers from Limestone Correctional Facility have been indicted for assault on an inmate, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.

Samuel Dial and Jesse Cobb were indicted on Feb. 8, 2024, after officials said inmate William Rhinesmith had been assaulted.

Court documents show that the two corrections officers assaulted Rhinesmith with a broom handle.
