Showers & storms early Friday; rain lingers through next week

Columbus, Ga (WRBL)- A chilly morning today as temperatures dropped into the lower 40s and even 30s behind yesterday's cold front. Clouds hung around this afternoon , and while we saw a break from the rain, storms will return tomorrow.

Showers and storms are still set to move in early tomorrow morning, impacting Friday morning commutes. Some of the rain could be heavy at times, so try to give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes in the morning. Showers and storms will linger will into Friday evening before tapering off, and highs will struggle to get out of the mid 50s.

After a few storms early Saturday morning, rain chances will start to taper off by midday. Clouds will linger throughout the rest of the weekend, and a few pop up showers are possible. Temperatures will boomerang back into the upper 60s and 70s by Saturday afternoon.

Another round of heavy shower and storms is set to move in Tuesday afternoon/evening. Those storms won't go anywhere for a while, and we will continue to see multiple rounds of storms through next weekend.
