COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Expect more clouds tonight while temperatures remain very mild with readings running roughly 10 degrees above average. Starting the week off with mostly cloudy skies and warm temperatures as high pressure continues to help warm the southeast.
Tuesday will be similar with readings climbing into the mid 80s with mostly cloudy skies. Showers and storms arrive very late in the evening and into the overnight hours into Wednesday morning. We are not seeing a widespread severe weather event; however, a few storms could reach severe limits for areas to the north of Columbus.
A few linger showers and rumbles of thunder early Wednesday with clearing as early as late Wednesday morning. Temperatures do not start to fall until Wednesday night while winds become breezy.
Thursday starts off chilly with readings in the 40s and afternoon highs struggling to get into the mid 60s. Still a little breezy and sunny. Rest of the week remains quiet and cool with temperatures hovering just below average.
Upcoming weekend looks sunny and pleasant in the extended outlook.
