WADLEY, Ala. (WRBL) – Southern Union State Community College has issued a campus-wide alert following a report of an attempted sexual assault inside a residence hall on its Wadley campus.
The incident allegedly occurred last week, during the week of April 21, though an exact date has not been provided by the university. The alleged assault took place in a student’s dorm room on the Wadley campus.
WRBL has reached out for additional information. At this time, officials have not released whether the suspect was known to the victim or whether the suspect is affiliated with the college. The university has not provided a suspect description or confirmed whether any vehicles were involved.
Southern Union is urging students and staff to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings.The Wadley campus is located at 750 Roberts Street, Wadley, AL 36276.
