More sunshine Monday; Above average temperatures continue

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)- It has been a pleasant Easter Sunday, with peeks of sunshine and temperatures warming into the lower 80s across the region. We have another round of great weather ahead tomorrow.

Monday: Tonight's readings will trend a tad cooler by getting into the low-60s, however, afternoon temperatures will be similar to today. Despite a few clouds in the morning, expect clearing skies by the afternoon.

Tuesday-Thursday: We are tracking a slow-moving cold front that is set to move in on Tuesday. As it approaches our area, it will stall out. This will lead to an unsettled forecast through the end of the school week. Stray showers will be possible Tuesday through Thursday afternoon. Highs will remain in the mid-upper 80s.

Next Weekend: As of now, we expect to trend drier for the start of the weekend. Friday afternoon, we could hit our first 90-degree mark of the year. If this happens, we will be about 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
