Carla Abellana admits it's not always "lovey-dovey" with boyfriend Tom Rodriguez

Carla Abellana admits there are times when she gets irritated with boyfriend Tom Rodriguez.

In the YouTube vlog she posted on January 29, 2021, the Kapuso actress read some of fans' assumptions about her.

One of them found Carla to be a bit of a "snob" and "moody." The comment was based on some videos where Carla wouldn't acknowledge Tom's comments or presence.

The 34-year-old star didn't deny ignoring her boyfriend at times, but that's normal, she said.

Carla explained, "Yes, there may have been episodes in my YouTube channel kung saan parang irritated na irritated ako kay Tom. Hindi ko siya gaano napapansin, hindi ko siya masyado napapakinggan.

"But it's not always like that, guys. Alam ko hindi maganda. Hindi maganda panoorin, hindi maganda makita kami ganoon. And I don't do that naman on purpose."

Just like most couples, Carla acknowleged that she and Tom also encounter bumps in their relationship.

"At least nakita niyo na it's not always lovey-dovey, sweet-sweet whatever chemistry ganyan.

"Given the six and a half years that Tom and I have been together, there are times na medyo nakakairita naman din.

"Nangyayari iyon and, again, I apologize for that. But it's not always like that naman."

But there's one thing that the couple won't have in their relationship: jealousy.

So to the fan who thought Carla was "selosa" as a girlfriend, the actress shook her head.

"Sinasabi ko iyan sa lahat ng interviews ko whenever I get asked that question kung nagseselos ako or hindi, but really, honestly, truthfully, hindi ako selosa.

"Number one, you shouldn't be kung wala namang basis, di ba? You trust your partner a hundred percent."

Jealousy, she stressed, is a waste of time and enerrgy.

"Really, may times na ang jealousy kasi gets in the way. It's really not good for your relationship. E, kung wala naman talaga pagdududa at hindi dapat, sayang lang iyon sa effort at sa time. Huwag na magselos.

"Be confident in yourself, be confident that your partner loves you, loves everything about you. There's nothing that will get in between that or nobody will get in between that."
