Aniya, “It's hard pero we decided that because iyong bars niya dito sa Manila, nag-close for the meantime dahil sa pandemic.
“She still owns a bar in Shinjuku sa Tokyo which she owns with her friend and is still operating.
“Mga Japanese, they love to work, so she decided to go home last April.
“We still communicate every day naman and update each other about our work.”
Maria co-owns the popular Singles Bar sa Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Newport City.
CHEF JOSE AS KAPUSO
“It’s been really a whirlwind year for me. I mean, moving to the GMA family really opened lots of doors for me.
“Like nag-start siya sa Unang Hirit, which I’m still doing up to this day pa rin. And then, other brands have been coming in.
“I’m really thankful and grateful because everyone really had a hard year this past 2020.
"But on the flipside, kahit papaano, the Lord didn’t leave me behind. So may mga blessings pa ring pumasok."
Isa na sa blessings na ito ay ang kanyang weekly 10-minute cooking show na Eat Well, Live Well, Stay Well kasama si Iya Villania-Arellano. Umere ang first episode nito last January 8.
“I'm super excited for this project! It's my first time doing this kind of cooking show and being picked by a well-known food company like Ajinomoto Philippines Corp. to be the show's resident chef was really something.
“Since we are in a time when health must be our top priority, the recipes we have prepared for our viewers are perfect for those who wish to be fit and to start eating healthier this year.”
Ayon kay Chef Jose, isang "dream come true" ang makapag-host ng isang cooking show para sa isang brand, ""so I’m just really grateful, and I really don’t take it for granted."
