Mismong si President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ay hinikayat ang publiko na patuloy na magsuot ng face mask at sumunod sa health protocol.
Kasunod ito ng babala ng Department of Health (DOH) ukol sa posibleng pagtaas muli ng mga kaso ng COVID pagsapit ng Agosto dulot ng hindi na pagsunod sa minimum public health standards at humihina nang bisa ng immunity mula sa bakuna kontra virus.
“We have to wear face masks and comply with other health standards to ensure our safety and that of our loved ones,” apela ni Marcos sa isang pahayag kahapon.
Naniniwala si Marcos na kailangan ipagpatuloy ang pagsunod sa health protocol upang maiwasan ang panibagong pagtaas ng kaso na makakaapekto sa pagbangon ng ekonomiya ng bansa.
“We have already made economic headways and we should not allow them to be brought to naught. This is why I am urging everyone to take part in preventing another surge that could block our way to economic recovery,” dagdag ni Marcos. (Eralyn Prado)
