Plano ng gobyerno, sa pamumuno ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., na isapribado ang operasyon ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Ito ang sinabi ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista sa pagdinig ng Senate committee on public services sa nangyaring aberya sa air traffic control system ng NAIA noong unang araw ng bagong taon.
“We confirm that this government is planning to privatize the operations of Manila International Airport. We are open to a solicited or unsolicited proposal, although we prefer to have a solicited proposal,” sabi ni Bautista.
Sa ngayon aniya nakikipag-ugnayan na ang gobyerno sa Asian Development Bank (ADB) at sa Public-Private Partnership Center para isapinal ang pagsasapribado ng NAIA.
“We’re expecting that we should be able to have this by the end of first quarter of 2023, and we will be able to accept proposals from interested parties,” ani Bautista.(Dindo Matining)
