2 killed, 5 injured when car crashes into Sioux Falls house

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Two juveniles are dead and five juveniles are seriously injured when a vehicle they were riding in crashed into a Sioux Falls house.

A Dodge Durango SUV lost control and collided with a tree and a house located at 18th Street and 2nd Avenue just after 6:00 Saturday morning.

Two of the juveniles were deceased on site. The other five juveniles were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. Several occupants were not wearing seatbelts.

Speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash but the incident is under investigation.

It is unknown if anyone in the home was injured.

Names of those involved are withheld at this time due to their ages and notification of family members.
