Weather Aware Tonight 7:30 PM-12:30 AM, tracking a line of storms

Columbus, Ga. (WRBL)-This track is likely but subject to change for timing. As of now, this will be our last shot of storms, with the potential for damaging winds, primary hazard, with a very low risk of a tornado spin-up.

This morning Kaylee had trees toppled on power lines knocking a few thousand without power from Marion County, Talbot, and portions of Muscogee.

I will update the track as this MCS (Mesoscale Convective System) travels farther southeast tonight.

It appears to weaken after 12:30 AM but we still need to watch how much afternoon heating we are still receiving.

Sunday's pop-up showers or a stray PM Storm will be non-severe, and so Weather Aware ends after this line comes through tonight-overnight. If it speeds up, I will adjust the times, so check back frequently.

This week we will remain dry through Thursday. A stalled front to our north will bring passing showers and storms across the region. Readings will warm well into the upper 80s to near 90° through Thursday.
