COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Locals are invited to attend a wellness-centered event later in August.
On Saturday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., CareSource is holding a "Mega Wellness Event" at American Legion Post 35.
It's free and open to the public.
According to a news release, attendees should be able to find these resources at the event:
- "Check-ups for CareSource members
- Health screenings
- Mobile health units
- Fitness & wellness workshops
- Nutrition counseling
- Food, games, music, fun and giveaways"
CareSource is a non-profit managed care organization. According to the foundation's website, CareSource administers one of the largest Medicaid managed care plans in the U.S.
