Isolated storms again Sunday; drier weather on the way

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)- After consistent rain these past few days, many of us are finally getting a much needed break this evening. Areas across Columbus and down toward Eufaula have seen upwards of 7-8 inches over the last 48 hours.

Today areas of Barbour and Clay counties saw flash flooding. There have been several reports of sink holes across Eufaula has the water struggles to drain off roadways.

Sunday: Isolated showers and storms will continue through the overnight. After a calmer start to Sunday for most, showers and storms will continue through the afternoon hours.

Monday: A few isolated showers will be possible for our southwest counties Monday afternoon, but may areas will remain dry.

Rest of the week: High pressure once again becomes the driving force next week, which means drier weather. Expect plenty of sunshine by midweek and warmer temperatures as well. Readings will warm into the upper 80s by Wednesday.
