Stray showers possible Monday; drier & warmer weather soon

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)- The rain has finally begun to move out of the forecast this afternoon. A few stray showers will linger overnight and through Monday morning, but most areas will remain dry.

Expect a few passing showers early Monday morning before conditions begin to clear tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures will warm into the lower 80s tomorrow.

Stray showers will be possible across portions of our southern counties Tuesday. Most will only see more passing clouds in the afternoon.

High pressure will move back into the forecast for the school week, meaning drier weather and warmer temperatures. Expect plenty of sunshine through next weekend, with a few afternoon clouds. Plus, highs will reach into the 90s by Thursday.

Next weekend, readings will cool off slightly back into the mid 80s. More cloud cover will also move in, mainly near the end of the weekend.
