Friday night forecast; Tracking a system in the gulf

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)- Tracking scattered showers for Friday night football. The good news: most of this rain is light and there is no lightning. Games will be a bit rainy but good to go.

After today, we enter a dry spell for the First Alert Forecast. Clouds will linger one more day with overcast skies for Saturday. Temperatures will rebound into the mid 80s tomorrow afternoon.

A weak front moving through Sunday will help to clear skies once again, but will struggle to cool temperatures.

A second cold front Tuesday morning will help to give us a taste of fall. Readings will continuously drop beginning Tuesday. Expect highs in the low 70s and morning lows in the low 50s by next Friday.

Tropics: We continue to watch an area in the Gulf of Mexico that has been struggling to become organized. There is a chance that it could become better organized by next week (Monday/Tuesday). However, there is currently expected to be little impact locally. This would primarily impact portions of Florida (as of now).
