Warmer temperatures Sunday; Cold front arrives Monday

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)-After a chilly morning, those afternoon temperatures warmed up quite nicely reaching into the upper 70s/ 80s. Another great day is on tap for the end of the weekend.

Sunday morning will trend warmer, with areas struggling to get below 50 degrees. With high pressure the driving force this weekend, highs will reach into the mid 80s. Winds will begin to pick up tomorrow afternoon, gusting up to 15 mph at times.

As a strong cold front moves through early Monday, winds could gust up to 35mph at times throughout the day. While it will begin to move through in the morning, it will not clear the area until Monday night. Our northern counties will struggle to get out of the 60s Monday, while southern areas will still warm into the upper 70s.

Following this front, morning lows will drop into the 40s Tuesday morning, and into the lower 40s by Thursday. Afternoon temperatures will cool into the upper 60s beginning Wednesday. This dry, fall weather will continue through the start of next weekend.
