Two females killed in Christmas Eve shooting in Beulah, suspect in custody

BEULAH, Ala. (WRBL) - A Christmas Eve shooting has reportedly left two women dead in the Beulah community, with Lee County Sheriff’s investigators confirming a probable suspect is in custody.

The incident occurred around 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, December 24, at a residence along US 29 North near CR 2113.

Authorities have not disclosed the suspect's name or any potential motive for the shooting. The victims’ names have not been released at this time. WRBL has confirmed Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton responding.

Investigators remain on the scene. Sheriff Jay Jones says more details would be provided as they become available.
