HART COUNTY, G.A. (WSPA) — A substitute teacher was charged Wednesday with public intoxication in connection to an investigation at a Hart County elementary school.
The Hart County Sheriff's Office arrested 54-year-old Kimberly Lavamita Boseman, of Hartwell, following an incident at North Hart Elementary School.
An investigation was initiated when a school resource officer was notified by the school's principal about Boseman reportedly displaying atypical behavior.
Deputies said after a thorough investigation, the sheriff's office arrested Boseman.
"The safety of Hart County students and staff remains our top priority, and we commend the quick response of School Staff and the SRO in handling the situation," Sheriff Chris Carroll said.
"We continue to work closely with school officials to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for everyone."
The incident remains under investigation by the HCSO.
