Police seek public's help identifying armed robbery suspect

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a Chevron Gas station on Monday, May 26.

Around 11:28 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at the Chevron at 1790 Williams Road. Upon arrival, officers learned a man entered the store, demanded money from the register and fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money.

Detectives are actively working the investigation and ask that anyone with information to contact Sergeant Michael Dahnke at 706-326-3556 or by email at mdahnke@columbusga.org. A monetary reward is being offered for information that leads to the identification of the suspect. All tips will remain confidential.
