Rain and storms remain in the forecast for Sunday

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)-We will wrap up Saturday with a few isolated showers and storms, these will be below severe limits but heavy rain and brief gust of wind will be possible.

We'll do it all over again on Sunday with the chance for showers and storms in the morning, a few of these storms may also linger into the early afternoon. Storms may briefly become strong or severe with heavy rain, frequent lightning, strong winds and large hail. Areas without rain and storms will have the best chance to reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

After Sunday we will get a break from the rain and storms and we'll warm up as well. Expect high temperatures to reach the low 90s by Monday and Tuesday, with the humidity it will feel more like the middle to upper 90s as well.

A mid-week cold front will arrive on Wednesday bringing a chance for rain and thunderstorms by late Wednesday morning into the early afternoon, behind this front temperatures will drop into the upper 70s to low 80s and overnight temperatures could very well dip into the 50s for some.
