WEATHER AWARE: Another round of strong storms for Monday

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- Following severe storms this morning, we have enjoyed a calmer afternoon. A few showers will continue to filter out this evening across our south. We are already tracking our next storm system moving out of the Plains.

Monday: Another WEATHER AWARE day is in store on Monday. We are tracking two rounds of potential severe weather: one in the morning and another in the afternoon. The SPC has issued a level 2/5 (slight) risk for Monday. Primary threats are damaging winds and hail.

Tuesday: A few storms are possible early Tuesday, but rain chances will likely taper off by the afternoon. Temperatures will reach into the upper 80s.

Rest of the Week: We will remain unsettled through the extended forecast, with a chance for showers and storms each day. By next weekend, greater humidity will return to the southeast, causing our heat index temperatures to near the 100-degree mark again.
