Dalph Panopio maagang naging kampante sa Blackwater Bossing

Kampante agad – ‘at home’, ‘ika nga – si rookie Dalph Panopio sa bago niyang tahanan, ang Blackwater.

At mas palaban na ang Bossing simula sa papasok na PBA Season 50 dahil sa ani owner Dioceldo Sy ay ang pagkakabuo ng ‘dynamic trio’ ng Fil-foreigners na sina sophomore Fil-Am Sedrick Barefield, Fil-Canadian Christian David at Fil-Italian Panopio.

Masayang inilagay ni Panopio ang pirma sa three-year deal na ini-offer ng Blackwater.

No. 3 pick ng Bossing si Panopio, sa likod nina Geo Chiu ng Terrafirma at Juan Gomez De Liano ng Converge, sa 2025 PBA Draft noong Sept. 7 sa SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.

Nang mag-tryout sa team bago ang draft, ramdam na agad ni Panopio ang init ng pagtanggap sa kanya ng players.

“They were there during my tryouts, helping me, wishing me well,” anang 25-year-old. “So I feel like I really fit the system.”

Hindi na bago si Panopio sa estilo ng Philippine basketball.

Naging miyembro siya ng Gilas Youth noon, kasama sina Kai Sotto, AJ Edu, Carl Tamayo.

Unang tapak niya sa imbitasyong workout ni coach Jeff Cariaso bago ang draft ay ramdam na ang koneksiyon.

“It wasn’t having a practice, it was more like having fun,” dagdag niya. “I was enjoying the practice.”
