Kinumpirma ni Vice President Sara Duterte na tuloy ang ‘‘Free Duterte Now’’ rally sa harap ng International Criminal Court (ICC) sa The Hague, Netherlands ngayong Miyerkoles, Hulyo 29.
Ayon kay VP Duterte, pumayag ang kanyang amang si dating Pangulong Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte na magdaos sila ng rally sa kabila ng posibleng implikasyon nito sa kinakaharap na kaso ng dating pangulo.
“Meron tayong rally sa Wednesday, July 29 sa harap ng ICC. And this is a Free-Duterte Now rally and we will talk about the injustice that was done to President Rodrigo Duterte. Pinaalam ko ito kay President Duterte at sinabi ko sa kanya na I do not think this will help your case,” paglalahad ng Bise President sa interview ng mga reporter sa The Hague nitong Hulyo 27.
“Since from previous rallies, napapansin namin na kinukuha ng ICC ‘yung mga sinasabi natin. At ginagawa nilang basehan sa kanilang mga desisyon. And then he said, bakit pa kayo mag-rally? What for? Sabi ko, para lang malabas naming ‘yung galit namin. At marinig ng buong mundo ‘yung galit ng mga Pilipino sa ginawa sa iyo,” saad ni VP Duterte.
“And then sabi niya, okay, bahala kayo kung yan ang gusto ninyo. But I warned him that it will not help his case. And he said, na, okay na. Kung ano ‘yung gusto ninyo,” dugtong pa niya.
Si dating Pangulong Duterte ay nakulong sa The Hague, Netherlands noong Marso 2025 matapos siyang ipaaresto sa Pilipinas dahil sa kasong crimes against humanity kaugnay ng madugong giyera kontra droga nito.
