Inanunsiyo ni Presiding Officer Francis Escudero ang deadline nitong Miyerkoles, Agosto 26.
“The request for subpoena directed to the concerned banking institutions… and financial institutions covering the respondent, her spouse, Attorney Manases Carpio, as well as 20 entities allowed by this court in which the spouses hold an interest is hereby granted,” ayon kay Escudero.
Nilinaw naman ng senador na saklaw lamang ng kautusan ng impeachment court ang peso-denominated accounts at hindi kasama ang foreign currency deposits maliban na lamang kung may written consent ang depositor.
Inatasan ang mga banking and financial institution na isumite ang mga kinakailangang dokumento sa Clerk of Court sa loob ng pitong calendar days, o hanggang sa Miyerkoles sa susunod na linggo.
Sa panig ng mga abogado ng Bise Presidente, sinabi ni defense team lead counsel Sheila Sison na inirereserba nila ang karapatang kuwestyunin ang naturang hakbang ng impeachment court. (PNA)
