Sa January 6 pa ang 27th birthday ni Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, pero ipinagdiwang na niya ngayong Linggo nang tanghali ang kanyang kaarawan sa taped telecast ng Sunday Noontime Live, ang musical variety show ng TV5.
Ang rare VTR appearance ni Sam Milby ang highlight ng birthday presentation ni Catriona dahil nagbigay ng mensahe para sa kanya ang boyfriend niya.
“Koala" ang term of endearment ni Sam kay Catriona dahil isinilang at lumaki ang dating beauty queen sa Australia.
“I’m proud of you. You have a heartful of compassion and everything.
“You’re such a big blessing to a lot of other people but you’re also such a big blessing in my life, so thank you for who you are and I really hope that God grants all the desires of your heart and be His servant.
"I love you, Koala. Happy birthday,” ang bahagi ng birthday message ni Sam para kay Catriona na kinilig dahil hindi niya inaasahan ang pagbati ng kanyang karelasyon.
Medyo napaluha naman si Catriona nang sabihin nito ang labis na pangungulila sa kanyang mga magulang.
Pinasalamatan din ng former Miss Universe ang lahat ng kanyang mga kaibigan na itinuturing niyang pamilya.
“I have so much to be thankful for. I feel like this year I’ve grown so much, not height-wise but just the maturity and the things I’ve learned. It made me feel really, really hopeful. I don’t feel bad for being 27.
“Mom and dad, I missed you talaga. I hope that I can be with you both soon. Super miss ko kayo.
“I’m just thankful for everyone who supported me, my friends who have become my family. You know guys who you are and sa lahat ng mga supporter ko, maraming salamat. You always made me feel loved and appreciated.”
Para sa kanyang birthday production number sa Sunday Noontime Live, walang make up si Catriona nang kantahin niya ang "Scars to Your Beautiful" ng Canadian singer-songwriter na si Alessia Cara.
Ito ang kanyang paliwanag kung bakit niya kinanta ito.
