Hallasgo desidido tumakbo sa Tokyo

Pangungunahan ni reigning Southeast Asian Games at National MILO Marathon women’s champion Christine Organiza-Hallasgo ang 22-player national track and field team na sasailalim sa New Clark City Sports hub bubble training camp sa Capas, Tarlac simula sa January 16.

Ipinahayag Martes ni Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (Patafa) president Philip Ella Juico na isinakripisyo ng 28-anyos na ina ng isang bata ang pamilya sa Malaybalay City para sa two-month training sa determinasyong mag-qualify sa 32nd Summer Olympic Games 2020 sa Tokyo, Japan na ni-reset sa July 2021 dahil sa Covid-19.

Nais ni Juico na makahabol sa Tokyo Olympics si Hallasgo, at sina US-based trackster Kristina Knott (200m), thrower William Morrison III, at hurdler Eric Shauwn Cray. Ilan sa makakasama ni Hallasgo sa Tarlac bubble sina decathlete Aries Toledo, javelin thrower Melvin Calano, hurdlers Clinton Bautista at Sarah Dequinan, at iba pa.
