Sumailalim ang 46 national athletes at coaches, sa pangunguna nina 2019 Southeast Asian Games women’s karate gold medalist Jamie Christine Lim at International Boxing Associatiion (AIBA) world women’s champion Nesthy Petecio sa isang virtual orientation ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) nitong Huwebes para sa bubble training camp sa Inspire Sports Academy sa Calamba, Laguna simula bukas.
Ayon kay PSC Commissioner Ramon Fernandez, aspirante ang mga manlalaro ng karate, boxing at taekwondo para sa 32nd Summer Olympic Games 2020 sa Tokyo, Japan na ni-reset lang sa July 2021.
“We called for this meeting to emphasize the safety protocols you will be needing for this Olympic training bubble. I am confident that we can all adjust to this, but know that your safety is paramount to the PSC,” anang nananguna sa online briefing na opisyal, kasama si Tokyo Olympics Chef de Mission Mariano Araneta Jr.
“I just want to reiterate that your safety is paramount in this bubble training. I wish all of you the best for your qualifiers so that we can bring more glory to Philippine sports,” ani Araneta.
Binuo ang istriktong protocol ni PSC Medical Scientific Athletes Services (MSAS) Unit Head Dr. Randy Molo.
“Athletes will undergo a series of RT-PCR testing. Prior to entry, upon entry, and several testings during the bubble training,” sambit ng doktor.(Lito Oredo)
