COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Brian confirms Columbus has reached homicide number 53 of the year, as of Saturday, Sept. 25.
Columbus PD responded to an incident at the 3200 block of Urban Ave. on Saturday evening. One victim, Marjester Thornton, was pronounced dead at the scene according to Coroner Brian. Thornton was 37 years old.
