Nakiusap si Vice President Leni Robredo sa kanyang mga supporter na tanggapin ang resulta ng halalan.
Sinabi ito ni Robredo sa pagsasalita matapos ang naganap na misa nitong Martes sa Metropolitan Cathedral and Parish of St. John the Evangelist sa Naga City.
“Whatever the final result is, although we don’t have it yet, let’s accept it. This is where we will draw our strength. There are bigger fights, our fight does not end with this election,” pahayag ni Robredo sa wikang Bikolano.
“The fight does not end with this elections because many have become enlightened. This is a fight for good governance. Even if we don’t make it, I don’t consider it a loss because we have achieved so much in this campaign, such as the biggest rally we had in Naga,” ayon kay Robredo.
“The silver lining perhaps is I will have more time to spend here, but as I’ve said, do not think our fight for good governance has come to an end,” sabi pa ni Robredo.
Samantala, tiniyak ni Robredo sa mga tagasuporta na iimbestigahan ng kanilang kampo ang sinasabing mga iregularidad sa naganap na eleksiyon.
Nangunguna sa partial and unofficial results ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) para sa presidential election si dating senador Ferdinand `Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. na mahigit 31 milyon na ang boto at kasunod si Robredo na lagpas 14 milyon naman batay sa inisyal na bilangan.(Issa Santiago)
