Inanunsiyo kahapon ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na maglalabas sila ng advisory tungkol sa 13th month pay para sa mga manggagawa sa pribadong sektor.
“We will release a labor advisory to guide our employers in the payment of the 13th-month pay this year, for 2022. At the same time, we are also contacting our employers’ organizations for the correct payment of the 13th-month pay,” ayon kay DOLE Bureau of Working Conditions Director Alvin Curada sa Laging Handa public briefing.
Ngayong taon aniya ibabatay ang computation ng 13th month pay sa basic salary ng mga manggagawa na natanggap mula Enero 1 hanggang Disyembre 31.
“It will be divided by 12. The total is the 13th-month pay. This is 1/12 of the total basic salary earned by the employee in one calendar year or this year,” paliwanag ni Curada.
Sa ilalim ng Presidential Decree No. 851, obligado ang mga employer na ibigay ang 13th month pay sa kanilang mga manggagawa ng hindi lalagpas sa Disyembre 24 kada taon.
