COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – The Columbus Police Department is launching a new initiative to raise awareness for unsolved homicides.
On Friday, the agency released information about an unsolved murder that happened over 10 years ago.
CPD said on Jan. 8, 2013, 63-year-old Brenda Lowe was found dead in her apartment by authorities. DNA evidence does exist in Lowe's case and CPD said with any information, police could solve her case and "bring justice to the memory of Brenda Lowe."
CPD is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and asks for anyone with information concerning Lowe's case to contact Sgt. Hayes at 706-225-4268 or via email at Shayes@columbusga.org. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to CPDGA@columbusga.org
