COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Another hot weekend across the two-state region as temperatures climbed into the mid and upper 90s this afternoon. Not much will change for the rest of the weekend as high pressure starts to retrograde towards the desert southwest.
Tonight conditions will be mostly clear as readings fall into the mid to low 70s. Saturday afternoon plenty of sunny skies again in the forecast with afternoon clouds with a very stray chance of a shower or storm in the forecast.
An early morning front arrives Monday with gradual clearing expected through much of the day. There is a very small chance of a shower or storm in the afternoon. The front quickly washes out under high pressure as temperatures remain very hot.
Tuesday we could see more triple digits across the region with just a stray shower or storm; however, a better chance of showers and storms arrive as a front noses closer by the end of the week.
Temperatures throughout the extended forecast remain in the mid 90s.
