Auburn police arrest three juveniles on breaking and entering vehicle charges

AUBURN, Ala. (WRBL) — Three Auburn juveniles were taken into custody on Friday following reports of possible auto burglaries in the area.

Police say a 17 year old, a 16 year old and a 15 year old are being charged with unlawful breaking and entering into a vehicle and attempting to elude. The 16 year old is also being charged with certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.

The arrests stem back to July 12 when Auburn police responded to possible auto burglaries in the 1000 block of Donahue Drive. At the scene, officers received report of multiple suspects fleeing the scene after trying to break into vehicles.

Officers found the suspects, who ran away when police tried to make contact. The three were later arrested.

All three juveniles were taken to Lee County Youth Development Center to be held while awaiting judicial review.
