Easterseals West Georgia hosts bi-annual pancake breakfast

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — On the first weekend in February, locals enjoyed some pancakes for a purpose. Community members visited Easterseals West Georgia Feb. 1, 2025, for its bi-annual pancake breakfast fundraiser.

The event, which typically runs from 7 to 11 a.m., helps fund some of the nonprofits educational activities and programs for children with learning disabilities or special needs.

In past years, the event has helped Easterseals West Georgia raise thousands of dollars to support their programs.

Each ticket costs $5, but guests are welcome to enjoy as many pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee as they’d like. They’re also able to purchase additional tickets which will go directly toward sending plates to local fire stations or Easterseals West Georgia.

This is the first year the nonprofit has been able to send pancake breakfasts, some orders including nearly 50 pancakes, to all 14 fire stations in the Columbus area. They also sent many families who came in off with take-home meals.

The pancake breakfast will return on Aug. 16. Easterseals posts its annual fundraising events and volunteering opportunities on its website.
