COLUMBUS (WRBL) — Baseball fans around the Chattahoochee Valley have less than a month before the first pitch is thrown at Synovus Park. While the park itself has been the reason for a lot of excitement, what the team plans to do with it is cause for further anticipation.
Though Synovus has invested a substantial amount into the project of Minor League Baseball's return, it's not the only Columbus-based company adding to the experience. The Clingstones announced on Monday that Synovus Park will also feature an 'Aflac Club'.
Speaking on the partnership, Clingstones General Manager Pete Laven stated "It's it's an honor to partner with such a great institution as Aflac and everything they mean to the city of Columbus. They've been so receptive to the Clingstones' arrival...We just think it's going to be a great partnership and so proud to have the Affleck back and of course, the Aflac duck on the Aflac Club building. So it's going to be it's going to be one of those wild factors inside Synovus Park".
This premium luxury box will be a transitional piece of the park, for indoor and outdoor catering. Outdoors it has over 200 seats that fans can use to watch the game, while also being able to enjoy the 5000 square feet of air-conditioned space that features a buffet exclusive to Aflac Club members.
Game days are not the only time that the Aflac Club can be utilized. The club can be reserved for special events, whether it be during the season or the off-season. "Anything from a Christmas party to a wedding reception?" Laven stated "And then business conferences, you name it, it's going to be an ideal space with an outstanding view".
Laven also spoke about the 2025 promotional schedule that was recently announced. The first promotion is on the night of the home opener, April 15th. The first 3000 fans in the ballpark will receive a commemorative ticket, honoring the occasion. Along with that, there will be replica jersey giveaways, fireworks every Friday night, as well as Bobblehead giveaways.
