Showers and storms continue; Tracking a warmer week

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)- This afternoon we have been tracking storms moving into our southern counties. All of these have been below severe limits, but a few have brought gusty winds and small hail.

Tonight: Over the next few hours, we will see a couple of stronger storms until midnight tonight. Lows tonight will be cooler, in the upper 40s.

Monday: Expect one more round of showers early Monday morning. This low-pressure system will finally move out of the area by the afternoon, leaving us with clear skies for most of next week.

Tuesday-Friday: Highs will quickly rebound into the mid-70s by Tuesday afternoon. Above-average temperatures will continue through the end of the week. Expect some areas to get into the 80s by Thursday. Thursday afternoon will bring a brief chance for showers that evening.

Weekend: We are tracking a strong storm system that will take shape next weekend. A slight risk has already been issued for all of Alabama and some of our Georgia counties for Saturday night/Sunday morning. We will be WEATHER AWARE for Saturday PM/Sunday AM for the threat of severe weather.
