Sinuspinde ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang proklamasyon kay Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro bilang kinatawan ng unang distrito ng Marikina City sakaling siya ang palaring manalo sa isinagawang congressional race sa lungsod.
Nagdesisyon ang Comelec na suspendihin ang proklamasyon kay Teodoro habang nakabinbin ang consolidated motion for reconsideration nito.
May kaugnayan ito sa pagkansela sa kanyang certificate of candidacy.
“Pending the Resolution of the Commission (En Banc) on the Consolidated Motion for Reconsideration, the Commission (En Banc) hereby orders the suspension of Respondent’s proclamation, should he receive the plurality of votes during the May 12, 2025 National and Local Elections,” pahayag ng Comelec.
“In view of the foregoing, the Commission (En Banc) hereby orders the suspension of proclamation of Respondent Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro as member, House of Representatives, 1st District of the City of Marikina,” ayon pa sa komisyon.
