Mayorya ng mga pro-impeachment congressman balik sa Kamara

Ibinida ng isang opisyal ng Kamara de Representantes na mayorya ng mga kongresista na pumirma sa impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte ang nanalo sa katatapos na eleksiyon.

Ito ang sinabi ni House Deputy Speaker at Quezon Rep. David Suarez matapos na isisi ni Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign manager at Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco sa impeachment ang hindi magandang performance ng mga senatorial candidate ng administrasyon.

“While I do respect the opinions of Toby Tiangco with regards to the matter, although I do not subscribe to it, but syempre bilang isang campaign manager siguro nakikita niya `yung terrain. Mas nauunawaan niya `yun,” sabi ni Suarez.

Ayon kay Suarez, nasa 86% ng mga district representative na pumirma sa paghahain ng impeachment case ang nanalo.

“Unang-una, kung titignan po natin yung winning rate nung mga congressmen na pumirma sa impeachment, I think that was 86%. So sila po talaga dapat `yung makaramdam kung mayroon man,” sabi ng kongresista.

Mayroong 215 district at party-list representatives, sa pangunguna ni presidential son at Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos ang pumirma sa paghahain ng impeachment case laban kay Duterte.

Itinanggi rin ni Suarez ang alegasyon ni Tiangco na pinilit lamang ang mga kongresista na pumirma sa impeachment case para mabigyan ng pondo. (Billy Begas)
