WEATHER AWARE: Tracking a line of severe storms tonight

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- We are watching a line of severe storms moving through Arkansas and Tennessee this evening. This same energy will move into our area overnight, bringing a threat for severe weather.

Timing: 12AM-5AM. Storms are set to enter our Alabama counties first (12AM-3AM), and will enter Georgia from 2AM-4AM.

Severe Risk Level-SUN PM/MON AM (WRBL)

Threats: Damaging Winds up to 60mph and small hail are our primary concerns. However, we cannot rule out a spin-up tornado along the line. Northeast of Columbus will likely see power outages. 

Forecast Wind Gusts- Sunday Night/Monday AM (WRBL)

Memorial Day: Another low-end threat of severe weather exists on Memorial Day evening. Another line of storms will move across Mississippi and enter the area. The entire region remains under a 1/5 severe risk.

Rest of the week: We will continue to see this unsettled forecast through this week. The sunshine will finally make its appearance again next weekend.
