COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL) – Local political leaders have released statements concerning Saturday's bombing of three Iranian nuclear sites. The three sites that were destroyed were Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
The President addressed the nation at 10 PM ET Saturday evening and added that there would be another briefing Sunday morning.
Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp put out this statement on X, "America can never allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon. Thank you to President Trump, our service members and intelligence personnel, and administration officials who conducted this successful operation."
Republican Congressman Brian Jack, representing Georgia's third district stated on X, "I stand with our brave military stationed across the world and President Trump, our Commander in Chief."
Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, representing Georgia's fourteenth district stated, " Let us join together and pray for the safety of our U.S. troops and Americans in the Middle East. Let us pray that we are not attacked by terrorists on our homeland after our border was open for the past 4 years and over 2 Million getaways came in. Let us pray for peace."
Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville wrote on X, " God bless our Troops. God bless President Trump. And may God continue to bless the United States of America."
The Muscogee County Democratic Committee shared a statement on Facebook, "Praying for peace and wisdom from both sides."
