General Torre pina-reserve Araneta sa boksing kay Baste Duterte

Tila seryoso si Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III sa pagkasa sa hamon na suntukan ni Davao City Acting Mayor Sebastian `Baste’ Duterte.

Ayon kasi sa source ng Politiko, kumontak na umano si Torre sa pamunuan ng Araneta Coliseum para ipa-reserve ang 12 round boxing match nila ni Duterte.

Hindi na raw available ang gusto niyang petsa na July 27 pero sinabi umano kay Torre na puwede ang Agosto 3, at game raw dito ang PNP chief.

Matatandaang sa isang panayam nitong Miyerkoles, Hulyo 23, tumugon si Torre sa hamon na suntukan ni Duterte.

Iminungkahi niyang gawing charity event ang suntukan nila upang makalikom ng pondo para sa mga naapektuhan ng pananalasa ng habagat.

“Tamang-tama dahil marami ang nasalanta ng bagyo at baha. Maybe we can use this moment or this opportunity to raise fund in a charity boxing match. Para mabilis, this coming Sunday (July 27) sa Araneta… 12 rounds puwede. 12 rounds na suntukan para maganda at para medyo marami-rami ang ma-raise natin [pondo],” ani Torre. (Issa Santiago)
