New president and CEO of Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce hosts series of meet-and-greets

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The new president and CEO of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce hosted a series of meet-and-greets on Tuesday.

Jansen Tidmore spent time on Tuesday getting to know the companies and people that support the local chamber, after being on the job for less than a month.

Tidmore, who is a Dothan native, came to Columbus from a similar role in Colorado. He replaces Jerald Mitchell, who resigned last year.

"It's going to be built on a pillar that we want to connect our businesses with the community," said Tidmore. "It's going to be built on a pillar that we've got to provide resources for our businesses from one-person operations to thousand-person operations and everything in between."

Tidmore added, "we want to get you the resources when you need it, how you need it and third, is going to be advocacy. How are we being that strong voice for our businesses?"

He held two meet-and-greet events on Tuesday in the morning and the afternoon at the Chamber offices in the old YMCA building on 11th Street.
