DA ibebenta asukal ng P70 kada kilo

Inanunsiyo kahapon ng Department of Agriculture (DA) na malapit nang makabili ang publiko ng asukal sa halagang P70 kada kilo.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng ahensiya na pansamantalang ipatutupad ang P70 kada kilo ng asukal para matulungan ang publiko habang hindi pa todo ang operasyon ng mga sugar mill sa bansa.

“The Department of Agriculture, in coordination with the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), will start selling sugar at P70 per kilo at SRA Quezon City and Bacolod City Offices,” sabi ng DA.

Makakabili rin umano ng asukal sa naturang presyo sa mga Kadiwa rolling store at Kadiwa on Wheels.

Dagdag pa ng DA na magbebenta rin ng imported na asukal sa Kadiwa at sa mga tanggapan ng SRA.

“The DA-SRA has asked each importer under the Sugar Importation Policy for Crop Year 2022-2023 to commit ten percent (10%) of their imported sugar allocation to be sold, through DA and at P70/kilo in order to have ample supply of affordable sugar,” pahayag ng DA nitong Lunes, Oktubre 17.
