The blustery conditions blow out of the forecast for Sunday

Columbus, GA. (WRBL)-A breezy and gusty start today will lead to a calmer and colder start for your Sunday morning. Maybe some areas of patchy frost.

A fantastic weekend, considering there was no rain or storms, however, it’s been the wind this afternoon. Gusty winds are expected to subside by morning, which will reduce the readings down until mid 30s and most locations to start but we’ll see temperatures warm as you can see here into the upper 60s across the region. They’re even bigger changes headed our way as we get into next week as high-pressure really strengthen ahead of another strong storm system.

The forecast is now showing true signs of spring. Although it is not officially here and just less than a month away, we are trending to see above average high temperatures, which may top off to 80 degrees in some areas early next week.

The changes come from another cold Cold Canadian front, arriving in the early morning Thursday. Ahead of this system is a very strong high pressure system, so we have to watch closely to see if this will weaken the system, if any for any significant storms, so stay tuned.

Until then enjoy wearing your shorts if you like and enjoy the outdoors. We will return next Friday and weekend to more average temperatures.
