Dry early Sunday, but showers possible late

COLUMBUS, GA (WRBL)- Despite the chilly morning, we had a beautiful afternoon across the area. Highs today managed to get into the 50s.

Sunday: Lows will once again dip into the lower 30s, and many will be below freezing again Sunday morning. We will see sunshine at the start of the day, but clouds will quickly move in. We are watching a weak Gulf low that could bring showers starting late Sunday evening.

Monday: These showers will continue through early Monday morning. Most areas will remain dry. Sunshine will move back in by Monday afternoon, and with it: highs in the 60s.

Tuesday & Wednesday: Temperatures will continue to warm up for the middle of the school week. Get ready for mid-70s Tuesday and Wednesday (lows in the mid-40s).

Rest of the Week: Our next cold front will arrive Thursday. There is much uncertainty if we will see much rain from this system. What we can say is that highs will cool back off by next weekend.
