COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- It was a beautiful start to the weekend today, but we are monitoring storms building to our west. Isolated storms will remain possible until roughly midnight. One or two of these could be strong.
Sunday: Multiple rounds of storms are in store for Sunday, and some could be severe. The strongest storms will likely remain to our northwest, but we will keep you updated. The entire News 3 area is under a 1/5 severe risk on Sunday.
Memorial Day: A low severe weather risk remains possible again on Memorial Day. The stalled out front draped across the southeast will be causing waves of storms to form and enter our forecast.
Rest of the Week: We expect scattered showers and storms every day next week, and conditions likely won't clear until the weekend. With so much rainfall, flash flooding could be a concern the second half of the week. Temperatures will cool off into the lower 80s by next Saturday.
