Tracking summer storms for your Sunday

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- We are tracking another round of showers and storms for your Saturday evening. A few of these have been strong, producing gusty winds and small hail. Rain will taper off before midnight.

Sunday: We will keep the same pattern for the end of the weekend. Expect clear skies for the first half of the day, and afternoon storms. Temperatures will rise into the 90s.

Monday through Wednesday: This unsettled pattern will persist through the first half of the week. Scattered storms will be possible through Wednesday afternoon. Thanks to more clouds and rain, highs will drop into the 80s.

Thursday-Saturday: Rain chances will begin to taper off on Thursday. While pop-up showers will remain possible, many areas will remain dry through next weekend. Your 4th of July is trending warmer, with highs in the mid-90s that Friday afternoon.

Tracking the Tropics: Tropical Depression Two formed this afternoon, as of 5PM ET. This storm is expected to become a tropical storm by Sunday and continue westward. It will make landfall in Mexico and poses no risk to the southeast.
