Auburn University basketball player Tahaad Pettiford arrested for alleged DUI

AUBURN, Ala. (WRBL) - Auburn University point guard Tahaad Pettiford is charged with allegedly driving under the influence, according to jail records.

Pettiford, 19, was booked into the Lee County Jail at 3:46 a.m. on July 12. The charge listed is DUI (alcohol). His bond was set at $1,000, and records indicate he has since been released on active bond.

The rising sophomore was a standout during his freshman season with the Tigers, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors and playing a pivotal role in Auburn’s Final Four run.

WRBL is reaching out to AU and team officials for a public statement regarding the arrest.
